Planting Seeds of Inner Strength, Soul Wisdom and Emotional Resilience in Children

I believe every child holds a unique inner light, and with the right support, they can grow rooted in safety, resilience and authenticity.

A Lifelong Path of Learning and Teaching

Education has been woven into the fabric of my life for as long as I can remember. I began tutoring children at the age of 14 and have since walked through every stage of the educational cycle in the UK:

  • Developing the business for a chain of nurseries as a Business & Marketing Manager

  • Serving as a Governor for a primary school

  • Volunteering and leading groups with Girlguiding

  • Working in Secondary education

  • Guiding students through apprenticeships in a College setting

  • Delivering lectures at University level

Through these experiences, one truth has always been clear to me: when children are rooted in safety, confidence, and self-awareness, they can thrive — not only academically, but in every aspect of life.

This is the heart of my work today — nurturing resilience, embodiment, and inner sovereignty in children and young people.

The Rising Roots Project

For Schools, Nurseries and Educational Settings

The Rising Roots Project is a soul-guided, research-informed wellbeing initiative designed to grow with children through each stage of their development. Rooted in nervous system regulation, ancient wisdom traditions and trauma-informed practices, it helps children and young people feel safe, connected and empowered as they navigate life’s many transitions.

Preschool (3–5 years)

The Magic Inside Me

The Preschool program is delivered through playful, sensory-based sessions that meet children where they are — in imagination, movement and story. Using songs, breathwork games, grounding rituals and creative activities, children are introduced to their “inner magic” — learning that feelings can be named, soothed and expressed safely. The focus is on building a sense of inner safety and calm, developing early emotional vocabulary and preparing them with gentle resilience tools for their transition into school.

Rooted and Rising

Primary (6–10 years)

For Primary-aged children, sessions are delivered through creative arts, somatic play and group storytelling. Each session weaves nature connection with simple nervous system tools, helping children understand themselves in relation to peers and the wider world. The focus here is on emotional regulation, confidence-building and social resilience — supporting them to stay rooted in who they are, while rising into new skills, friendships and challenges with greater self-awareness and strength.

Inner Compass

Early Teens (11–14 years)

The Early Teen program is delivered through guided inquiry circles, journaling, embodiment practices and simple group practices. At this stage, young people are navigating identity, belonging and the challenges of adolescence. The focus is on helping them connect with their inner compass — a sense of sovereignty and direction — while learning tools for emotional alchemy, self-trust and boundary-setting. Sessions invite them to explore myth, archetypes and embodied wisdom to make meaning of their experiences and step into this stage of growth with authenticity.

Embodying the Path

Older Teens (15–18 years)

With older teens, the program is delivered in a more mentorship-style format, blending inquiry, peer dialogue, breath-work and visioning practices. Sessions can take the form of weekly groups or intensive workshops/retreats, depending on the setting. The focus is on integration and leadership: supporting them to manage stress, exams and transitions while clarifying their values, soul-purpose, and direction as they step into adulthood. This stage also includes rites-of-passage style rituals, helping them embody their emerging independence with confidence, resilience and a sense of contribution to the community they are part of and the wider world.

Each program is adaptable to the needs of your setting, with sessions blending story, movement, ritual and creative expression all anchored in the latest research into nervous system regulation, neuroscience and developmental behaviour.

Why Work With Me

My work with children and young people is grounded in both academic training and lived experience. With a Master’s degree in Psychology and further qualifications in wellbeing, coaching, health and nervous system regulation, I bring a research-based understanding of how children grow, learn and adapt in the face of change. This foundation allows me to draw on modern psychology and trauma-informed practice while weaving in approaches that are compassionate, creative and deeply attuned to each child’s unique needs.

Alongside my formal training, I have spent a lifetime immersed in education — tutoring since I was 14, working within nurseries, schools, colleges and universities, volunteering with Girlguiding and serving as a governor within the primary system. These experiences have given me insight into every stage of the educational journey and a sensitivity to the pressures children face in both academic and personal contexts.

Equally important, I bring the perspective of a parent. Having raised two children of my own, I understand from the inside what it means to nurture resilience, balance compassion with boundaries and support children through their challenges while celebrating their strengths.

This blend of professional knowledge, practical experience and heartfelt care shapes the way I work: effective, evidence-informed and always compassionate. My role is not to impose solutions, but to create safe, nurturing spaces where children can discover their own strengths, develop emotional tools for life and grow with confidence in who they are.

What other’s say

Alongside my work with schools, I also support children directly through 1:1 sessions. These personalised sessions help children build emotional resilience, navigate transitions and reconnect with their inner confidence in a safe, nurturing space.

1:1 Work with Children

Every child is unique — which means their challenges, needs and pathways to healing are unique too. My 1:1 sessions with children are not a “one size fits all” approach, but rather a holistic and integrative process that draws from a wide range of practices, tailored to your child’s personality, age and circumstances, whether school anxiety, sleep struggles, confidence, emotional regulation etc.

Sessions may include elements of:

  • Therapeutic play and creative expression – helping children process feelings in safe, non-verbal ways

  • Breath-work and nervous system regulation tools – building calm, resilience and self-soothing skills

  • Hypnotherapy (gentle, age-appropriate) – supporting confidence, reducing anxiety or addressing specific addictions, fears and phobias

  • Life Journey Consultations – helping older children and teens make sense of transitions, identity and purpose

  • Storytelling, movement or ritual practices – encouraging self-expression and a deeper connection to their inner world

Some sessions are practical and skills-based, others more imaginative and symbolic — all are guided by the needs of the child in the moment.

Because healing rarely exists in isolation, it’s not uncommon that working with a child also opens a pathway for parents to reflect and heal. Sometimes this leads to family sessions or individual work with parents, helping the whole family system become stronger, more resilient and better able to face challenges together. When children and parents heal in tandem, the transformation is often deeper and longer-lasting.

Whether your child is navigating anxiety, big life transitions, social struggles or simply needs a safe space to grow in confidence and self-awareness, these sessions offer a nurturing container for them to explore, heal and thrive.

Ready to support your child’s journey?

The work I do with children often flows naturally into my work with adults — because when parents are resourced, whole and aligned, the entire family benefits. My Personal 1:1 Sessions for adults are designed to support your own healing, purpose and sovereignty, giving you the tools to walk alongside your child from a place of strength and authenticity.
