Psychology & Ego
Understanding the Landscape of Thought
The mind is the storyteller of our lives. It carries the patterns we inherit, the beliefs we form, and the voices of our ego that seek to keep us safe. These stories shape how we see ourselves and the world.
In the Incharge Way, we don’t silence or deny the mind — we study it. We bring shadow patterns into the light, explore cognitive and behavioural archetypes and learn to meet the ego with curiosity rather than judgment.
The Tree of Life & The Mind
The mind is like a tree — constantly branching, growing and reshaping itself through experience. Each thought, each choice, each new perspective becomes a leaf, a root or a branch in your inner landscape.
Psychology calls this neuroplasticity — the brain’s remarkable ability to create new connections. Spiritually, we can see it as the unfolding of our own Tree of Life. The roots are your foundations: early patterns, family stories, cultural imprints. The trunk is your identity — the “I” that holds everything together. And the branches are your evolving knowledge, insight and lived experience.
When we work with the mind consciously, we begin to:
Nourish the roots with awareness and healing.
Strengthen the trunk with authenticity and resilience.
Grow new branches — fresh neural pathways, expanded perspectives and a deeper connection to self.
Over time, your tree becomes not just a reflection of the past, but a living symbol of choice, growth and alignment.
Your Tree of Life is yours to tend. In every session, we work together to rewire old patterns and create new branches of possibility — so that your inner landscape grows stronger, wiser and more authentic with each season or chapter of your life.
My Approach
-
Authenticity Research
My academic work in authenticity explores what it truly means to “live from the inside out” and “take charge from within”. This research informs how we work together to uncover where you are living from conditioning, and where your true voice wants to emerge.
-
Psychology & Patterns of Mind
Drawing on psychological frameworks and archetypal psychology, I help you identify the narratives that drive your choices, and how ego defences show up in daily life.
-
Neuroplasticity
Change is possible because the brain is malleable. I use practices grounded in neuroplasticity research to help rewire old responses and create new, supportive pathways. Tools like NLP (Neuro-lingustic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) are integrated in my work.
-
Hypnotherapy
Sometimes the most powerful shifts come from the subconscious. My training in hypnotherapy supports deeper transformation, where we access the root cause of patterns and gently reframe them for lasting transformation.
Working with the Mind means
Understanding the difference between your ego’s stories and your authentic self.
Meeting shadow patterns with compassion, not resistance.
Creating new mental pathways that support resilience, clarity, and choice.
Learning to be incharge not of what you think, but of how you respond.

In collaboration with the University of East London
This study explores how women in their 40s express authenticity across the multiple roles they play—at work, in relationships, in advocacy and in personal development.
Focusing on five key themes that came up —leadership, advocacy, wellbeing, growth and choice — the research uncovers the strategies women use to align with their true selves during this pivotal life stage.
By amplifying women's voices and lived experiences, this study aims to deepen understanding of what it means to live authentically in midlife.

The Alchemist
on Substack
The Alchemist is the living journal — a circle where philosophy, practice and story meet. Here I explore the art of embodied transformation: how thoughts shape choices, choices shape actions and actions shape the life we create.
It is a place where science meets symbolism, where nervous system repair, soulful inquiry and elemental wisdom weave together. Letters on resilience, myth and meaning. Reflections from the alchemical path — turning life’s raw material into gold.
If something in these words stirs a memory, a vow, or a quiet shift inside you, I invite you to walk with me. You can share in the comments on Substack, or simply hold the resonance in silence — knowing it is felt.
This is a space for alchemy in motion. For wholeness. For becoming.
